Hi im felicity and i have brought to you Buzzin Creativity.

I started Buzzin creativity after losing my husband to a rare dementia called Posterier Cortical Atrophy, Caring for my husband till the end was hard, but so precious to me at the same time. We had 3 children all grown up and they too needed my support and visa versa.

I found i needed something to allow me to relax, the stress was overwhelming, I was starting to fall apart, this was not what my husband or family needed. I had always been a creative person, i enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening, flower arranging. These were hard to do needed more time or focus than i had time for. So i started a new hobby watercolour painting.  I found this was easy for me to do and allowed me the time to de-stress that i needed.

Over the next few years i learnt from watching videos, joined various free tutorials gaining insite and learning from other and my own mistakes. I soon realised that a perfect picture was not what i needed, i was improving and sold a few paintings to people i knew. They were very impressed that i had taught myself while caring for my lovely husband Paul.

The just putting paint on paper was enough to just switch off, i played music which my husband loved to listen to. It gave me the time to let go of my stress. After i lost my husband, i found that the only thing i could do was nothing. I had no focus, nothing, i just wanted to go. Then i started to pick up the paints again, slowly just painting marks. It helped me realise that my art was a way of healing my broken heart and brought me back to my life.

Im not saying it was easy and the first few pictures i did were dark, cold and not great to look at, but there was a spark of light coming through those dark pictures. I entered one into the national brain appeal, a letter in mind, painted on an envelope. It was exhibited in a gallery in London. I went with my daughter in law to be, i met and spoke to so many people all who had taken time to go and see others work on display. I felt so greatful to my art, that was bringing me back into the light.

This is when i decided to try to support others, through my art and creativity. I being a lover of nature flowers and bees, so came Buzzin Creativity.

I aim to hold workshops and support sessions in a variety of venues, giving them the chance to let go, relax and enjoy the creative process.

I want to continue to make and sell my art and other creative pieces, sharing what i love to make with others, along with starter kits for others to usse to support their creative side.
